was my first official OB appointment with Dr. Farmer, whom I must add was pleasantly surprised to see my back so soon. I was in his office almost exactly a month ago for a regular, yearly check-up. I was quick to tell him that I was just a surprised! His office is in Bedford, abut 15 miles from my office and about 10 from our condo.
First things first, they confirmed the pregnancy and loaded me up with tons of reading material and baby stuff. You know, the good stuff like…..breast pads, hemorrhoid cream, tips to reduce constipation and more(ha ha not really!). It’s a good thing I did not dig into the bag until I got home! The most exciting part of the visit was setting the first sonogram on November 25 at 9AM. Dr. Farmer was sure to remind me to bring my husband and I assured him that Jay would not miss.
Before I left his office, he asked me if we had told any of our family or friends yet. I told him that we did tell our families. Then he asked, “what was their reaction”? I told him since it was the first grandchild it was great news for all. Interestingly enough, he told me he has a daughter that is just about my age that is due about 2 weeks before our baby is due and that he was thrilled. He told me that it was important to keep everyone involved because it is not only a wonderful time in our life, but our families as well. So, I am following my doctors orders and trying to keep you all involved, like it or not!
By the way…the babies due date June 27th, so mark your calendars!
